The latest issue of CoroCoro has leaked in Japan and while it doesn’t give any new details regarding Pokémon Sun and Moon, it does have more information regarding the Volcanion distribution that coincides with the new movie.
According to Serebii, moviegoers who pre-ordered their tickets will receive a serial code to get the legendary Pokémon, Volcanion, onto their Pokémon ORAS or X and Y games. The serial codes are good from April 16 to July 15.
Volcanion will be at level 70 holding a Rage Candy Bar with the attacks Hydro Pump, Overheat, Mist and Volcanion’s signature attack, Steam Eruption.
The latest Pokémon movie’s release date in the West has not been announced, but with previous movies, Japan has seen a theatrical release in the early months of the year, with worldwide distribution coming several months later.
And as North America saw with Diancie and Hoopa, they will be distributed once the movie is made available in the West either through a serial code or a mystery gift via the Internet.
Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Ingenious Magearna will tell the story of the first Gen 7 Pokémon, Magearna, as Ash and his friends try to stop an evil plot to use its power against the world.
Volcanion, who must have a connection to Magearna, does not trust humans and will find itself attached to Ash during the film, forcing the two to work together to face a common enemy.
