Pokémon Go is the largest mobile game of all-time, but that doesn’t mean it’s immune to various bugs and glitches.

The latest Pokémon Go bug has been identified by Niantic and it affects the capture rate of Pokémon and how much experience is being given to trainers who successfully catch Pokémon.

Here’s the latest from Niantic.

We know that the huge Pokémon Go update took out the tracking system, but there were also reports that extra XP from throwing your Pokéballs within the capture circles or throwing a curveball have been omitted.

Also, many players noticed that the capture rate of Pokémon in Pokémon Go actually decreased and Pokémon, no matter the level of the trainer or the CP of the Pokémon, would run away at an alarming rate.

It seems this new Pokémon Go bug is the culprit of the high escape rate as well as reports of Pokeballs curving when they aren’t supposed to.

Hopefully Niantic can roll out a quick fix to the latest bug and when they do, we’ll keep you guys update. In the meantime, let us know if the latest Pokémon Go update has affected your catch rate and the way the game registers your throws in the comments section below.
