‘Pokémon Go’ Gen 2 Buddy System: How Far You’ll Need To Walk To Get Candy

The Buddy System in Pokémon Go was implemented months after the release giving trainers an easier method of obtaining candy to evolve their Pokémon. Now that the Gen 2 update has come to Pokémon Go , the Johto Region Pokémon will all be able to be your trainer’s buddy when using the Buddy System.

However, not many Pokémon Go players know how far they have to walk to get the candy they desire. We already have a list for the Gen 1 Pokémon but Gen 2 is a little different.

With 80 new Pokémon to catch and evolve, you’ll want to choose the right Buddy Pokémon to try and either evolve them as quickly as possible without having to search and catch more of them or to strengthen their CP by using the candy and stardust.
