Pokémon Go Guide: What You Can Expect For Colossal Discovery Special Research Story Event

There are a lot of things happening right now with Pokémon Go. For instance, Cobalion, part of a Legendary trio, is set to arrive in raids on November 4. Even before that, trainers get a chance to go against three returning Pokémon.

Tomorrow, November 2, is just as exciting with Colossal Discovery. This Special Research story event is available between 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in your local time zone.

This Colossal Discovery introduces a Pokémon that is originally from the Sinnoh region. Known as Regigigas, this Pokémon is closely related to Regirock, Regice, and Registeel.

To get access to this unique limited-time experience, you need to purchase a ticket. Since the event doesn't have a set location, it means that you can be part of the event regardless of where you live, as long as you have a ticket.

Getting access to this event gives you:

• An early-access encounter with Regigigas.
• A Colossal Discovery medal.
• As much as 10 extra Raid Passes at no cost during the Special Research story event time period when you spin a Photo Disc at a Gym.
  • The Raid Passes are not going to be available once the event period is over and trainers are not allowed to hold more than one Raid Pass at once.
• Special Research Rewards:
  • Unova Stone
  • Sinnoh Stone
  • Exclusive Avatar Pose

In terms of the ticket, here are the details you need to know:

• To get the Special Research titled A Colossal Discovery, you need to open Pokémon Go during the event on Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in your local time zone.
• Once you have bought the ticket, you need to complete the Special Research before time runs out.
• The ticket is priced at $7.99 and can be purchased directly from the shop.
  • The ticket cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.
• Tickets can be purchased until Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 5:00 PM, in your local time zone.
• The ticket to this Special Research story event is nonrefundable and is subject to applicable law and exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service.

In order to buy a ticket and get access to the Special Research, here's what you need to do:

• Tap on the Learn More button in the shop.
• Tap on the Purchase button.
• Once this is done, you should receive a pop-up indicating that you have received a ticket for A Colossal Discovery.
• Click OK and your ticket will appear in your Item Bag.
• If you buy a ticket before the event, you receive a medal.
  • When the event begins and you open the app during the event time, you receive access to the Special Research titled A Colossal Discovery.

Small Tip

There's a chance that you won't want to access the event alone. To complete the Special Research, you need to take down Regirock, Regice, and Registeel in five-star raids. That's right, you need to defeat and capture these three to get a chance to fight Regigigas. The good news is that if you're unable to get Regigigas, this Pokémon is going to be available next month through EX Raids.
