Pokémon Masters released an update that adds three new story chapters to the main story. This means that players can now continue the story up to Chapter 21. Those who manage to complete the story chapters are then able to add the 5★ sync pair of Calem & Espurr to their team. Fans of the series should be familiar with Calem since he is best known as one of the main characters from Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
Aside from the new chapters, players can also now have the main character pair up with Torchic. Torchic is a Fire-type Pokémon from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. This is also the first time that a main character in Pokémon Masters has been paired up with a Pokémon that is not Pikachu.
In celebration of the new updates, Pokémon Masters is launching a special in-game event titled "The Story Continues! Special Rally!" This event is available for a limited time and end on November 28. Players who log in during the event and play special missions can earn as much as 2,000 gems. There is also additional log in bonuses going as high as 4,2000 gems for players who log in for 14 consecutive days. This offer is only good until December 2.
Pokémon Masters is a free-to-start game with in-app purchases for Android and iOS devices. In the game, a tournament of 3-on-3 battles is ongoing on Pasio, which has been dubbed as the Pokémon Masters League. Players fight against famous Trainers and form a team of friends in order to become the champion. To enter the tournament, players need at least five Badges which can be collected by defeating the PML Leaders.
The game offers co-op play, allowing players to join up with others from around the world. In co-op play, three players team up for fun and exciting battles while working together to victory.
Pokémon Masters was released in August and with the new update now has 21 chapters in the main storyline along with three interludes. Within four days of its worldwide release, the game had been downloaded 10 million times with revenue reaching $10 million. Within the first week, revenue increased to $26 million and by the end of the month stood at $33 million.
