The March issue of CoroCoro had more than just information on the Volcanion distribution in Japan. According to Serebii, the issue also had a brief mention of Pokémon Sun and Moon, and teased what readers should expect from the magazine from now on.
In the latest CoroCoro, the Pokémon Sun and Moon logos were shown with the disclaimer that starting from the April issue (out on April 15) details of the generation 7 games will slowly be released in “special features” of the magazine.
Sun and Moon are expected to release during the 2016 Holiday season but the promise of details in April means that players should expect a solid release date soon.
And, as with Pokémon X and Y back in 2013, the first details of a new generation of games usually comes with the starter Pokemon. The reveal of Fennekin, Chespin and Froakie along with the Yveltal and Xerneas (the legendaries of that generation) were detailed in CoroCoro before the Pokémon Company officially announced them in a video.
The months following had the reveal of Mega Evolutions, starting with the Kanto Starters and Mega Mewtwo Y and then slowly revealing the new Pokémon and Mega Evolutions.
With the confirmation that April 15 will begin the Pokémon Sun and Moon details, beware of any fake leaks and rumors. We will continually update the site with the latest Pokemon Sun and Moon information, so check back.
