There are a lot of secrets hidden within the Talos I space station and Prey wants you to find them all.
A new video for Bethesda’s upcoming game revealed just how much there is to explore in Prey . Talos I is filled with diverse locations such as living quarters, research areas, etc. Players can also explore the outside of the space station in zero gravity conditions. Pretty cool, right?
Previous trailers made it seem like the protagonist Morgan Yu would be the lone survivor aboard Talos I. Well, the new trailer reveals Yu will encounter other survivors trying to find out how the Typhon were released into the space station.
We’re curious as to how the exploration will tie into Yu’s Groundhog Day situation. We learn early on Yu voluntarily had a neuromod implanted into his/her brain for research purposes. One of the potential side effects of implanting a neuromod is memory loss; more specifically, the brain will reset to the moment the implant was installed, which keeps the person in a sort of time loop until the issue is corrected. There are protocols to restore the memory, but someone prevented Yu from getting said protocols.
It all sounds a bit convoluted, but that’s the point. Yu is reliving an incredibly chaotic day and the character isn’t sure why. If you want to learn more about Prey ’s story, Bethesda will release the first hour of gameplay in a demo for the Xbox One and PS4 on April 27. It’ll give you a little more insight into Yu’s story and what’s going on in Talos I.
iDigitalTimes was able to play the first hour of Prey and we’re pretty stoked to play the full game. Check out our thoughts here. Prey launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on May 5.
