Bethesda’s upcoming game Prey will offer players a unique arsenal to kick some Typhon ass.
The latest trailer shows off weapons and powers players can combine to create some interesting moves. Our personal favorite might be the Lift Field, which launches your enemy straight up into the air and brings them down with full force. Check out the unique skills and weapons in the video below.
In Prey, you’ll play as Morgan Yu, a scientist stuck re-living the same day over and over again after an experiment goes terribly wrong. Another scientist has installed an implant in Yu’s brain called a neuromod, which was supposed to help with some sort of research. What the research is about isn’t exactly clear. However, you’ll quickly learn Yu believes someone has trapped them in this particular day, and they don’t know why. Here’s the official description of Prey:
“You might mankind’s last hope aboard Talos I, but you’ve got a mighty arsenal to face down the Typhon threat. Armed with your wits, weapons and a host of incredible powers, it’s up to you to stop the alien invasion and save all of humanity. Piece of cake. With 24 human upgrades and 20 unique alien powers to choose from (plus all of their upgrades), no two Morgans will be the same, and no two players will have the same experiences in Prey .”
What is clear is the crew aboard Talos I stumbled across something they shouldn’t have. The Typhon are a species with subsets that display distinct characteristics. For example, the Mimic will hide in plain sight by disguising itself, transforming its appearance into mundane objects.
There are many mysteries waiting to be unearth on Talos I. Prey will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on May 5.
