With all the attention focused on new content when Rockstar delivers a new update to GTA Online, sometimes we forget the patches and fixes that are made to GTA 5. This time, the fix in question is the Banshee 900R.
For Grand Theft Auto veterans, the Banshee had long represented the fastest car in the game. However, the Banshee has been significantly outshone by the likes of brand new exotics like the Progen T20, Pegassi Zentorno, Pegassi Osiris and Truffade Adder. While some could argue that the Banshee's dethroning moment is simply a natural progression of things, many fans were upset and extremely vocal about the Banshee's uncompetitive performance compared to the new supercars of GTA 5.
Surprisingly, Rockstar decided to respond to the complaints by finally giving players a new update to make the Banshee once again the quickest car in the entire game.
To prove that the Banshee 900R is truly the new king of the road, GTA 5 tipster and YouTuber MrBossFTW lined up his Banshee 900R at the starting line of a 1000m straight line drag event. MrBossFTW conducted multiple pulls on the Banshee to set a baseline and then performed the same 1000m test for the T20, Zentorno, Adder and Osiris as well. So what did he find?
The fastest run performed by the Banshee 900R is 21.222 seconds. Following tests yielded a 21.489 second result. The second quickest car is the T20 and produced the fastest time of 21.690. That's right, the quickest run by the T20 is still slower than the slowest run by the Banshee 900R. Naturally, the new Banshee mopped the floor with the rest of the cars too.
