PUBG Mobile announced that servers will go down beginning April 15 at 8 p.m. EST and return April 16 at 4 a.m. EST. This is to allow for Update 0.12.0 which officially goes live April 17.
The update is expected to bring exciting changes for PUBG Mobile players.
One big change is the addition of the Spectator Mode. Here, players can now view the matches their friends are currently playing and even those of their crew and clan members.
Corsshair Modifications have been implemented which allows players to change the crosshair. They can opt to have different colors for the scope as well as various shapes for the red dot reticle.
The update also introduces Survive Till Dawn 2.0. The original Survive Till Dawn mode was a crossover between PUBG Mobile and Resident Evil 2. In this mode, zombies become more aggressive as day slowly turns to night. Visibility begins to drop as well, making the zombies even more dangerous. It also brought with it a number of zombies associated with the Resident Evil series along with new zombies created for PUBG Mobile.
The new Survive Till Dawn 2.0 is expected to revamp the original mode with new zombies and new weapons to fight them. With 2.0, zombies are now able to jump and even climb walls. This means that they now have the ability to get to rooftops. Zombie dogs immediately attack players. Zombies can now be stunned with Stun Grenades and slowed down or frozen with the Liquid Nitrogen Grenades. The new mode introduces two new weapons: the RPG-7 and the Jungle Style Magazines. Tweaks will be done to the Flamethrowers.
A Darkest Night mode has been added which allows players to drop-in solo or with a team. The goal is to survive the night and live until morning.
There is also a feature called "Companion" where players can choose a pet and companion experience. With the companion experience, players can unlock new emotes that they can use for their pets. A voice wheel is expected to be added as well, allowing for faster in-game access.
