The action-packed Quantum Break has officially gone gold. This news comes from a tweet sent out by Sam Lake, Quantum Break’s writer and creative director.
In the video, Lake says that Quantum Break is now gold, while sitting next to a comically large bottle of champagne.
“Going gold” means that a game is effectively done. No more changes will be made to the code from this point until release, and what we have now is what is getting printed on the discs before getting shipped to store shelves.
This is great news for those who have been following along with the development of Quantum Break. The recently announced release date of April 5 is not going to get changed again.
If you missed the earlier news about Quantum Break, we know that anyone who pre-orders will also get a copy of Quantum Break for Windows 10, as well as a copy of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare to play on your Xbox One through Backward Compatibility.
Microsoft’s Major Nelson has revealed there will also be an exclusive Quantum Break Xbox One bundle. This bundle comes with either a black or white Xbox One and will retail for $349.
So what do you think? Are you excited to see Quantum Break is finally for-real coming out? Will you be getting one of those fancy Xbox One bundles? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
