The upcoming Rainbow Six Extraction will be a day-one addition not only for Xbox Game Pass members but also for PC Game Pass members. So, when the game launches on January 20, subscribers can play them on Xbox and PC.
In addition to the Xbox Game Pass, the game is also coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
In a statement, Ubisoft’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Chris Early revealed that by making the game available to the subscription services, they’re showing that they believe in the value and choice that these subscriptions offer to players. He went on to say that this is just the start since they’ll also be offering the Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox owners. With these, owners can enjoy what the Ubisoft+ game library can offer.
Meanwhile Sarah Bond, the Corporate Vice President, Game Creator Experience and Ecosystem at Xbox, shared that members of these subscription services can add another blockbuster to their library. She added that with the addition of Rainbow Six Siege, the Rainbow Six community will have a lot to expect playing together.
So what do you think about this plan by Ubisoft?
Rainbow Six Extraction is a cooperative PvE experience where players team up with two friends and put in the role of Rainbow Six Siege operators to fight against a mysterious alien menace threatening life on Earth. There’s a roster of 18 operators for players to choose from along with a wide range of unique gadgets and weapons.
Each play session in Rainbow Six Extraction is called an “incursion,” composed of three interconnected sub-maps. Players are assigned any one of the twelve objectives randomly in each sub-map. The location of the objectives and placement of enemies are procedurally generated. Once players secure their objective, they have the option to extract themselves or explore the next sub-map.
Rainbow Six Extraction is coming out on January 20 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, Amazon Luna, and Google Stadia.
