The Rainbow Six Oceania League Season 2020 Grand Finals between Pittsburgh Knights and Wildcard Gaming has concluded. The matches were played in a best of three series with only prize money to lose. This league doesn’t affect the standing or anything related to Six Invitational.
The first map of the series was Villa. Wildcard was super aggressive during the first half, which allowed them to get multiple openings, kills, and some rounds. The first half resulted in a 3-3 scoreline, an impressive display from attackers. Even when it came to defense, Wildcard showed they're prepared for everything. Wildcard's setup included tons of shields and utility to protect those shields, which made it very hard for Knights to counter.
Knights had a hard time finding entry frags, and it made last-minute executes incredibly difficult. As such, Wildcard took the first map with a 7-4 scoreline.
The second map, Theme Park, was even more intense. Wildcard's defensive setup for the Throne site was a pretty nice strategy to watch. They extended into Office and Vault that made it tough for Knights to fight and get into the site. Even though Wildcard was a player down, it was very easy for them to take the round because of the spread-out setup. The map went all the way till overtime and Knights managed to take Theme Park with an 8-6 scoreline.
The decider and final map of the series was Coastline. The match didn’t show any impressive strategies but Knights were able to frag their way to victory. Knight took the series with a 7-5 scoreline, which was unexpected to most viewers watching the stream.
