The most anticipated match for the Brasileirão 2020 Finals between MIBR and Team Liquid concluded a while ago. The match was played in a best of five series with Liquid having the upper hand as they proceeded through the upper brackets.
MIBR dominated the whole series with Oregon being the final map. MIBR Cameraman had an insane 1v2 clutch on round two playing Smoke. The way Cameraman attacked and maneuvered around the dorms led to two kills. That play was key to MIBR’s victory. MIBR won four straight rounds on defense before Liquid managed to take one round.
Round seven was another heartbreaking moment for Liquid fans. Liquid Muringa was almost able to clutch a 1v3 situation. However, Cameraman managed to kill Muringa before the timer was up. The final round played out on the Dining site was pretty fun to watch too.
MIBR knew exactly how to counter Liquid in the final round. So, MIBR used Montagne as a distraction. MIBR rushed to the Meeting site as Montagne distracted players of Liquid on the Attic side, which served as an excellent decoy. Then, MIBR managed to get the plant down and take the final round in the series with a quick round win. On the final map, Oregon, MIBR took the game with a 7-3 scoreline. It was a surprising match since Liquid was pretty dominant throughout the series. But MIBR’s new roster proved to be effective.
This match victory was important for MIBR due to the fact it gave the team a chance to qualify for the Six Invitational, to be held next year. More details on Six Invitational will come out soon.
