Rainbow Six Siege’s Colorful tournament just concluded its fourth playday for winner bracket matches. The tournament has a prize pool of $1,500, which is a pretty high amount for the South Asia competitive scene. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all the matches will be held online instead of the more traditional LAN environment. The prize pool of the tournament will be split and awarded to the top two teams who will compete in the finals. You can find the prize pool details here.
The ongoing Colorful tournament is a double-elimination based competition, where teams will have to win every match or drop down to the loser bracket. You can watch live streams of every game on the Colorful Bangladesh Facebook page.
The most exciting matchup for the fourth playday was between MonkaS and Virtual5 Esports. The match was played on Oregon, which is a very utility-heavy map. The match was super exciting to watch, as we got to see two really strong teams face off against each other. Virtual 5 was able to take out most of the defense rounds, which led them to a 5-1 scoreline before V5 had to attack. V5 was able to carry over the momentum on their attacks and win the match with a 7-2 scoreline.
Another exciting match to watch was between BadTrip Esports vs MercenarieZ. This match was also played on Oregon. It was super exciting to see both teams playing against each other. BTE had a good start on their defense, which led them to a 4-2 split. However, their attacks were sloppy against MrcZ, which helped MrcZ gain momentum to mount a comeback. Ultimately, MrcZ was able to dig themselves out of the hole they fell into at the beginning of the match, winning with a 7-5 scoreline.
