Rainbow Six Siege European League Stage 2 has finished its fifth playday. The top four teams from this region will qualify for the Six August 2021 Major, which is held in Mexico. The European League is currently being played online due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Team Empire vs. Team Secret
The matchup between these two teams was played on Consulate, which is an attacker-sided map. To make it a slightly defender-sided map, Empire banned Nomad. This helped Empire play aggressively on defense and win rounds. Team Empire won the match with a 7-5 scoreline, which placed them fourth in the leaderboards.
Natus Vincere vs. Virtus.Pro
Na'Vi and V.P decided to play on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. Na'Vi banned Iana and Mozzie to specifically target V.P's most played operators. These bans helped Na'Vi as V.P was uncomfortable playing different operators. V.P still managed to get the first four rounds on defense. However, Na'Vi completely destroyed the opposition after that and won the match with a 7-4 scoreline. Na'Vi remains at first place on the leaderboards with a high chance of qualifying for the Six Majors.
BDS Esports vs. G2 Esports
BDS and G2 played on Clubhouse, which is a defender-sided map. BDS has a pretty good winning streak on the map, so everyone thought they would win the match. But G2 had a different playstyle as they just recently went through a roster change. This match was also the most exciting game as both teams are considered the titans of Europe. However, G2 closed the game with a 7-4 victory and claimed the second spot on the leaderboards.
Team Vitality vs. Rogue
This match was the closest in terms of score, as both teams went all the way to the final round. The map was Clubhouse and both teams played really well till overtime. But, after Vitality changed up its playstyle by playing more aggressively, Rogue could not hold the oppression from Vitality. This resulted in the Vitality win with an 8-7 scoreline.
