The Six Invitational 2021 Europe Relegation Finals between Rogue and MnM Gaming have concluded. The matches were played in a best of five series and the losing team would be relegated from the EU League. Rogue being a pro league team, has more to lose than MnM.
The first map of the series was Consulate. MnM played poorly in the last playday against Cowana, and the same happened during the match against Rogue. Rogue finished the first half with a 5-1 scoreline, by playing super aggressive. On Round 6, Rogue decided to rush the basement site immediately after breaching. Maurice "AceeZ" Erkelenz got 12 kills by the end of the game, standing out for Rogue. Rogue took the first map with a 7-3 scoreline.
The second map, Coastline, was another frag fest and almost a victory for MnM. However, during the matchpoint round, Leon "LeonGids" Giddens made a triple kill and ended the game.
The third map was Clubhouse that showed an impressive game from MnM. Unlike in previous maps, MnM played superb and countered Rogue effectively. Rogue, meanwhile, made terrible executions on attack and defense that allowed MnM to take the map with a 7-4 scoreline.
Kafe Dostoyevsky, the final map of the series, was heartbreaking to watch for MnM fans. Rogue took the series with a 7-3 scoreline, winning the relegation match and staying in the EU League. This is the end for MnM, but they will have another chance next year to qualify through Challenger League.
