The latest Rainbow Six Siege White Noise DLC finally arrived last Tuesday and brought along a new Tower map, three new operators and a slew of bug fixes. However, despite all the efforts from the dev team, new bugs seem to always find its way into the game.
On Thursday, via Rainbow6 subreddit, community manager Ubi-Ludo acknowledged incidents of FPS drops have been reported following the recent update. However, because the team has yet to identify the cause of the problem, PC gamers are urged to report these incidents so the team could study more cases in order to reproduce the problem.
Since the Ubisoft team has yet to determine the cause of the FPS drop, it’s too soon to blame these issues on the game just yet. Certain redditors also reported that they have experienced FPS issues ever since Nvidia required a new driver update, which occurred during Blood Orchid.
Unfortunately, the FPS drop isn’t the only bug. On Monday, a post on Ubisoft forums reveal the technical team is currently working to fix a service degradation issue for Uplay on PC. Ubisoft gamers on PC may experience difficulty accessing Uplay’s PC online service.
The bugs follow the first weekend of the Rainbow Six Siege White Noise DLC. The weekend has been lively, to say the least. According to Steamcharts, Rainbow Six Siege has managed to surpass 100k concurrents on Steam over the past weekend. In fact, the true concurrent count should be considerably higher, as many Siege players open the game and log-in via the aforementioned Uplay.
Despite the bugs that plague Rainbow Six Siege, players have enjoyed the game’s unique tactical gameplay, regular free updates that bring maps and operators. What’s more, a communicative dev team at least assures fans that every new bug that breaks the game will be addressed in a timely manner, especially ones like this:
