Rainbow Six Siege's APAC North Mini Major Stage 2 concluded its Quarterfinals. The matches were played online because of COVID-19. The event showcased exciting matches with the quarter-finals played in a best of three format. Several areas were highlighted in plays. It might help you make new strategies for your ranked and competitive games.
The matchup between GUTS Gaming and Cloud 9 was the most hyped game of the playday. The first map was Clubhouse - a defender-sided map with Hibana banned. Cloud 9 took the first five rounds on defense with ease. But lost one round before the side switch. Then, GUTS changed the momentum toward their favor. They took it all the way to overtime with super aggressive plays. Still, Cloud 9 won the first map after pushing overtime on defense. Cloud 9’s victory had a scoreline of 8-6.
The final map was on Consulate. This map was more exciting to watch. We got to see both frag heavy teams go aggressive every round. EnvyTaylor of Cloud 9 had an excellent play on round five as Mozzie. He managed to stay in Anti-Chamber and get a quad kill. EnvyTaylor succeeded in that play due to the lack of droning intel from the side of GUTS. Cloud 9 showed dominance on Consulate. Their coordination made defense easier and allowed them to win several attacks. Cloud 9 took Consulate with a 7-3 scoreline. This match allowed Cloud 9 to proceed to the upper-bracket finals. Unfortunately, GUTS got knocked out of the tournament.
