Rainbow Six Siege's APAC North Mini Major Stage 2 concluded its Quarterfinals. The APAC North Mini Major matches were played online due to COVID restrictions. The event had some thrilling matches with the quarter-finals played in a best of three format. We got to see several maps in play. It may teach you new strategies for your own games.
The match between FAV Gaming and Xavier was the most exciting part of the mini-major. The first map was Kafe Dostoyevsky - a defender-sided map. Xavier didn’t bother using any form of strategy. Their plan for winning the map was to frag the enemy team. Xavier played operators like Lesion, Vigil, Melusi, Valk, and Jager to slow down enemies.
Xavier’s kitchen defense was like an ordinary Ranked game. Two operators like Vigil and Lesion would roam upstairs and slow down the push. While the rest of Xavier played around the site to avoid enemies taking control. The first half resulted in a 5-1 advantage for Xavier. It was pretty dominant and Xavier only had to win two more rounds on the attack.
Xavier's first attacking round demonstrated super aggression. People got to see Ash rushing the site from the Cigar shop as the rest of Xavier pushed to Piano and Skylight. Xavier took the round easily due to an obvious lack of coordination from FAV.
The final round was quite the same as the previous rounds. Xavier and the team pushed to Cigar and dropped from Skylight to end the first map. Xavier won the first map with a 7-3 scoreline. Xavier would go forward to the brackets if they manage to win the next map.
