Rainbow Six Siege's North American League 2020 just concluded its final playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The North American League had some really exciting matches to watch this week, with all the matches played as a best of three format. OXG and TSM played each other on all three maps this week. The first two matches were on Consulate and Kafe, while Villa was used for the deciding match.
The matchup between TSM and OXG was one of the most anticipated fights this week. The first map was played on Consulate, which both teams are pretty comfortable with. That said, TSM plays Consulate with a frag heavy mindset, so they were able to take the first map 7-5. The second map was played out on Kafe, which is a very strat heavy map. This match went all the way to 7-6 with an overtime match point. The third map was played on Villa, and TSM showed how destructive they can become by playing super aggressively. TSM won the map 7-3. This match today decided the seeds between the two teams and TSM placed second overall, with OXG following them in third place.
The last matchup for the season was played out between DG and Tempo for seeding purposes. The first map was played out on Consulate and both teams didn’t show anything surprising. It was a super average match for the viewers, as both teams only displayed average ranked starts. The first map ultimately went 7-4 in favor of Tempo. The second map showcased some relatively new strategies such as a Ying and Glaz combo for Clubhouse, but Tempo had the upper hand and beat DG 7-4.
The three teams that have qualified for the majors are Spacestation Gaming, Team SoloMid, and Oxygen Esports.
