The next highly-awaited PS5-exclusive title is just around the corner. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will release on PlayStation 5, June 11. The next-gen game is made to show off the power of PS5, especially its super-fast SSD. You will be able to switch between different dimensions almost instantaneously.
Gameplay Trailer
Sony revealed a new gameplay trailer for the game yesterday. The interesting thing was the female Lombax, and we finally have a name for her, Rivet. The trailer shows that she will play an important role in the game. We also saw her grabbing Clank and then going on a mission. Rivet is one of the main protagonists, like Ratchet, who is fighting the bad guy, Doctor Nefarious, in her dimension. Feel free to check out the official trailer above.
State of Play
Sony has also announced a new State of Play. The online stream will go live on April 29 at 5 p.m. EST. You can watch the stream on YouTube and Twitch. It has already been confirmed that the event will be focusing heavily on Rift Apart with 15 minutes of new gameplay. Though other games to be shown were not mentioned yet. But I'm guessing that Resident Evil Village and Returnal will make an appearance. Other PS-exclusive titles like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok might get another tease or two but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Preorder
You can preorder Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for $69.99 on the official site. Keep in mind that the game is not available for PS4. So, if you are one of those lucky people who grabbed PS5, well, then it’s a great title to fully utilize your next-gen platform.
Different Editions
There are two versions of the game available. The Standard Edition comes with just the base game and will cost you $69.99. The Digital Deluxe Edition will come with some extra goodies like five Armor Sets, Photo Mode Sticker Pack, 20 Raritanium, Digital Soundtrack, and Artbook for $79.99.
Check out the official site for more information.
