This week saw Sony release information about Retro Mode for MLB The Show 17. The mode, which is brand new to The Show, is one-button play for those who may not want to fiddle with a full game with stats and numbers. Sometimes forgotten about is R.B.I. Baseball, an arcade baseball title that simplifies the game of baseball with great graphics you wouldn’t expect from a cheaper game.
On Saturday, the highly anticipated R.B.I. Baseball 17 announced that its cover athlete for this year’s edition is Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager. The announcement was made in front of fans at Dodger Stadium who were there for Dodgers Fan Fest. The National League 2016 Rookie of the Year Seager exclaimed his excitement about his new cover after its reveal.
“That was really for me. Growing up and playing sports games and seeing all the people of the covers and idolizing them. This was awesome for me and I still smile everytime I see it.”
The team at R.B.I. Baseball also released a few features that will be in R.B.I. Baseball 17 upon its release.
