Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is launching digitally worldwide this December 16. It’s going to be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
The game will be officially released in different languages, including English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, and Russian.
There’s also a physical version to be released in January 2022. Those who pre-order this version at the Red Art Games store will get an artbook and OST CD as special gifts. This offer is available until January 1.
The game depicts the unknown story of Deedlit along with the events that led up to the Record of Lodoss War: Diadem of the Covenant. Players take on the role of the High Elf Deedlit, who suddenly finds herself in a mysterious and unknown place.
Features of the game include:
- Sword and Arrow Attacks
- Use swords to deal strong melee attacks against enemies within range.
- Make use of projectile attacks through your bow and arrows against enemies that are farther away.
- Swappable Equipment
- Equip and make use of swords and arrows that are picked up along the way.
- Powerful weapons and tools that players acquire can be used to their advantage throughout their journey.
- It’s possible to sell off weapons when no longer needed.
- Swappable Elemental Spirits
- Choose from different useful elemental spirits and change Deedlit’s different attributes.
- While using the wind spirit Sylph, for example, wind-based attacks do less damage.
- When the flame spirit Salamander is in use, fire-based attacks do less damage.
- Raise Elemental Spirit Levels
- Players can increase the levels of their elemental spirits by absorbing the “Soul Screams” generated when attacking and defeating enemies.
- Each spirit’s level is displayed as Deedlit’s own power level.
- When a spirit’s level has maxed out at three, HP automatically recovers.
Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth had already been released on PC in March this year. One of the game mechanics is looking for items and power-ups similar to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The game itself is inspired by Symphony of the Night along with Ikaruga.
