Now, we're not saying Red Harlow is in Red Dead Redemption 2, but... maybe he is? A Redditor shared a screenshot from the Red Dead Redemption 2 cover art, suggesting Red Harlow could appear in this highly anticipated sequel.
Here's another picture of Harlow from the original Red Dead Redemption's online multiplayer game mode, followed by a second picture of what looks like Harlow's back (poncho and blue shirt and all) riding horseback in RDR2's official trailer.
The poncho and blue shirt certainly looks like Red Harlow... but that wouldn't really make sense, would it? Via RDR2.com, the Red Harlow theory offers several possibilities for RDR2:
Firstly, Red Dead Redemption 2 goes "full prequel" and changes its title to a more fitting Red Dead Revolver 2 instead. Red Harlow is much older than John Marston, and even if Red becomes older than the events in Red Dead Revolver, that will still make Marston younger than he was in Red Dead Redemption.
If Harlow is a playable character, we also expect to learn more about him, namely his Native American ancestry. The son of Falling Star, the daughter of the leader of Red Wolf Tribe, Red Harlow's past could open up a whole new dimension to the Red Dead franchise.
In Revolver, Harlow played a sharp-witted bounty hunter. In RDR2, Harlow could perhaps play a supporting NPC in the form of a "boss" that assigns bounty hunting quests to you while sharing story snippets regarding what he's been up to since the Revolver timeline.
Finally, RDR2.com suggests Red's story in Red Dead Redemption 2 may likely come to a similar end as John Marston. If you don't know how Marston's story ended, we'll refrain from spoiling it for you. But if you're curious, you can find out here.
