The first Resident Evil 7 biohazard DLC might make its way to consoles as early as spring 2017.
Famitsu reports (via Gematsu ) Resident Evil 7 biohazard players will be able to download the Not a Hero DLC for free later this year. The DLC will reportedly bring Ethan back into the mix with a story scenario. The details of the “scenario” were not released, but that’s not a surprise considering all the leaks Capcom has experienced recently.
Reddit users have released the alleged trophy list, ending, weapons lists, story details and more all within a month of the game’s launch. Producer Masachika Kawata explained to Game Informer why the studio tried to keep information released about Resident Evil 7 at a minimum because he didn’t want to spoil the thrill for players.
“In order to fully enjoy a horror title, we don't think it's good to release too much information beforehand,” Kawata said. “What's hidden in the darkness? Who are the enemies? How do I escape? These are questions we would prefer to leave unanswered before the player experiences the game, so that they can uncover things on their own. As a result, we understand some fans have questions about the contents of the game, but we assure you that we're ready to deliver a Resident Evil horror experience of the utmost quality.”
A horror game isn’t as fun if you know where all the scares are! If you’re poking about the Resident Evil 7 biohazard threads on reddit or NeoGaf, you’re bound to find some spoilers. Still, most of the leaked information won’t ruin the experience. It’s more like Easter Eggs hardcore fans would enjoy finding out on their own. And you can always play it in VR if you want to increase the scare factors.
