The promised January DLC update for Rock Band 4 has been delayed into February, according to Harmonix . The DLC update will now come out some time between Feb. 1 and 5.
So what’s coming in the February update anyway? Lots of cool new content and fixes. One of the biggest problems fans have been having with Rock Band 4 is people using scoring exploits to get to the top of leaderboards. These exploits are getting fixed, according to Harmonix, and the leaderboards will be wiped once the fix is released. This will give everyone a fair shot at getting the highest scores possible.
Additionally, players can expect to see some new gear themed after Psychonauts . This move is in celebration of developer Double Fine’s recent announcement of a P sychonauts 2 getting funded .
Other things in the update include audio fixes and minor tweaks. Interestingly, Harmonix teased there will be even more content getting announced on Feb. 1, so make sure you come back to know what other fun things you will be getting.
Later on in the post , Harmonix makes some pledges on how it will be operating moving forward. The developers want to make their updates come in a more timely fashion, and will make sure every update will get released roughly on the same day each month. Alongside updates, Harmonix also promises to release detailed patch notes, so gamers can see exactly what is getting tweaked with each update.
