Even more DLC is coming to Rocket League, with this batch seemingly inspired by the recently released BioShock collection. Called AquaDome, this new arena will be coming some time in October.
As we can see in the trailer above, AquaDome is a standard arena that happens to be nestled at the bottom of the sea. This means that while you’ll be playing on a regular field under a glass dome, there will be fish, sharks and whales swimming by as you score goals and make epic saves. The AquaDome arena will be free to play on for all Rocket League owners.
Additionally, two new cars will be available for purchase. The Triton is made to look like a sleek and futuristic submarine, while the Proteus is designed with more of a scientific research vessel feel. Both cars will be sold for $1.99 each.
Unfortunately, no release information was given for the AquaDome or the two new cars. We do know everything will be getting released this October, but nothing more specific has been mentioned yet.
As for other big changes to Rocket League, the Rumble Mode is now live for everyone to try out. This mode basically mixes classic Rocket League with Mario Kart. Several different weapons can be unlocked to cause mayhem during matches, including a giant boxing glove that can punch the ball and the ability to switch places with someone on the opposing team. Give Rumble Mode a try if you haven’t, it’s very fun and genuinely hilarious.
So what do you think? Are you excited to try out the new AquaDome arena in Rocket League? What other DLC would you like to see get added in future updates? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
