Rocket League is bringing fancy loot to the field . Soon, players will be able to unlock Rare and Very Rare items. They will consist of fancy decals and colorful boost trails for decorating your soccer car. These items drop randomly from online matches, but you can also get Rare items by trading in five Uncommon ones you collected. That lets you get rid of some of the extra clutter you might accumulate; nobody needs three different versions of the same Leprechaun hat.
Last week, Harmonix announced the introduction of special items being added to the game in June’s patch. We now know that the rarer of these items will be Certified and have stat-tracking capabilities, meaning that a Very Rare tire might be able to track how many shots you’ve taken or how many goals you’ve blocked.
You can only track stats online though, and only one stat at a time. There will also be Painted items that have a specific color not available anywhere else.
Alongside the trade-in system Harmonix has announced there will be player-to-player trading in the future of Rocket League . Harmonix warns against trading in your Painted or Certified gear, it might become more valuable once this new trading system kicks in.
