If you're looking for a different type of game, check out RPGolf Legends. The game takes players to an open world where golf and monsters co-exist. It's ready to take a swing beginning January 20 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
The story goes with an evil force that has sealed all the world's golf holes. Players team up with the spirit of a golf club to take on an adventure to save golf. In terms of gameplay, there are six unique environments where players need to beat monsters. There are also NPCs that offer quests.
In a statement, ArticNet Founder Riccardo Castelnuovo revealed that the idea behind the game was based on the 8-bit golf games that he played as a kid. While he loved the game, Castelnuovo said that there was a part of him that wanted to explore the fields where he was playing the sport. It seemed that this is where the idea of having an open-world golf game came from.
Castelnuovo shared that when they were designing the game, there were a lot of challenges. The hardest was getting a good balance between the elements of golf, exploration, fighting, and RPG. He added that making things more difficult was giving the players the choice of which aspect they wanted to focus on. If a player wants to play golf, then the elements are there. If they wanted to do RPG, then it is also possible.
Features of the game include:
- A total of 54 holes to enjoy in six unique environments.
- Play golf tournaments and match against NPCs.
- Fight formidable foes using golf clubs.
- A unique class system that features unique skills and looks.
- Dungeons to explore and golf puzzles to solve.
- An open-world full of characters and different quests to complete.
- Go around the world and do other activities like fishing, crafting, and even exploring, to name a few.
There’s no question that this looks like an interesting game. What do you think?
