Rooster Teeth's FIRST has announced its slate of new and returning animated series for 2017, including the very popular RWBY and Red vs Blue.
Fans of the American-made anime will see Volume 4 end on Feb. 4, which leads to the premiere of RWBY Volume 5 in the fall. Following that, a brand new animated series, Sex Swing , will premiere Feb. 18.
Red vs Blue Season 15 will premiere in April with the second season of Camp Camp debuting this year.
“ Red vs Blue started us on this journey fourteen seasons ago and RWBY has skyrocketed us to where we are now,” said Gray G. Haddock, Head of Rooster Teeth Animation. “Not only are we producing at least six animated series this year approaching 1000 total minutes of content, we’re excited to say we’re already deep into developing new future shows for FIRST and possible outside distribution partners. There’s so much more we’re going to do.”
The popular battle simulator, Death Battle , from Rooster Teeth’s gaming channel Screw Attack will also return in February with the highly requested “Lara Croft vs Nathan Drake” episode.

RWBY
The fourth volume of RWBY concludes on Feb. 4 and is currently airing to ratings more than double its previous season. A highly anticipated fifth volume will premiere in the fall, following the four main characters, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang, and their ongoing adventures in the World of Remnant. RWBY is an anime juggernaut with a huge international following and is the first-ever American anime to be exported to Japan.
Red vs Blue
The award-winning, longest-running web series Red vs Blue returns with a vengeance with Red vs Blue Season 15 . A series of violent attacks across human space has people demanding answers. Who are these Reds and Blues? And why are they so bloody ruthless? One reporter sets out to uncover the truth, determined to find out why the once beloved Reds and Blues have turned so malicious, taking her on a galaxy-spanning adventure filled with many twists and turns.
Camp Camp
Premiering a second season this June, Camp Camp tells the story of Max, a jaded ten year old, who finds himself stuck at a dysfunctional summer camp run by a shady business mogul who is looking to turn a profit any way he can. The cynical Max will have to survive annoyingly cheerful counselor David, the weird cast of campers, and bizarre surprises at every turn before he can escape for home.
Sex Swing
Sex Swing is the story of four bandmates, battling against all odds to make their way in the world of music and beyond with little to no regard for what’s come before or what will come after. Sex Swing is a new animated comedy written and voiced by the crew at Rooster Teeth’s comedy gaming channel Funhaus.
DEATH BATTLE
Who would win in a fight between Street Fighter 's Ryu and Mortal Kombat 's Scorpion? Superman vs. Goku? Digimon vs. Pokemon? DEATH BATTLE has the answers. The premiere "vs." series on the internet, DEATH BATTLE takes two pop culture icons and squares them off in a battle to the death. Bringing forth an insane amount of research on the icons in each episode and culminating with a fully-animated fight scene, the show has captured a passionate worldwide audience that continues to grow with each new episode.
DBX
More episodes of DBX are also in the works, DEATH BATTLE ’s spin-off that pits fighters against each other just for the thrill of the fight - “No rules, just bloodshed!” Fans can expect nearly double the amount of episodes of DBX this year and increased quality of animations. A few big matchups in the works include Mega Man X vs Iron Man, Link vs Meta Knight and Genji ( Overwatch ) vs Raiden ( Metal Gear Solid ).
RWBY Chibi
RWBY Chibi is a cute new window into the exciting world of Remnant! Each mini episode finds Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang and more of your favorite RWBY characters in adorably hilarious situations, from making cookies and pancakes to hiding from the vacuum cleaner. A new season of RWBY Chibi , featuring even more characters based on the hit show RWBY , begins this May.
RTAA
RTAA is Rooster Teeth Animated Adventures , a series of mini episodes that animates the ridiculous stories told on talk shows and podcasts all across FIRST, including the award-winning Rooster Teeth Podcast .
