The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are now official and several carriers have already jumped in, revealing their pricing details for the 2016 flagship devices. T-Mobile and Sprint announced their pricing and various deals for the smartphones, not long after they were announced in Barcelona Sunday evening.
Samsung announced the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be available starting March 11, with preorders starting Feb. 23. Markets including the U.S. Europe and Canada will offer free Gear VR headsets with every preorder. T-Mobile and Sprint have announced the Gear VR preorder bundle will also include six games from Oculus.
T-Mobile
T-Mobile will offer the Galaxy S7 in Black Onyx and Gold Platinum for $0 down and $27.92 monthly for 23 months with $27.83 for the final month. Full retail price of the smartphone is $669.99. The Galaxy S7 Edge will sell in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum for $0 down and $32.50 monthly for 23 months with $32.39 for the final month. Full retail price of the smartphone is $779.99. T-Mobile preorders of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will also come with a free year of Netflix.
Sprint
With the launch of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, Sprint is introducing the Galaxy Forever program, similar to its iPhone Forever program, which launched with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Under the Galaxy forever program, the customers will be able to upgrade to the latest Galaxy smartphone after 12 monthly lease payments.
With Galaxy Forever, Sprint will offer the Galaxy S7 for $25.99 per month for 24 months with upgrade available after 12 payments. The Galaxy S7 Edge will sell for $30.50 per month for 24 months with upgrade available after 12 payments.
Sprint is also offering a buy one get one deal for the devices. After a $13.00 service credit, customers can get a second Galaxy S7 handset for $12.99 per month for 24 months. After a $15.25 service credit customers can get a second Galaxy S7 Edge handset for just $15.25 per month for 24 months. With the Galaxy Forever program, customers still have the option to upgrade after 12 months.
Customers also have the options to purchase the devices under Sprint’s installment plan, which offers the Galaxy S7 for $27.09 per month for 24 months and the Galaxy S7 Edge for $31.25 per month for 24 months. The buy one get one deal also applied to the installment plan with a second Galaxy S7 selling for $13.54 per month for 24 months after a $13.55 service credit and a second Galaxy S7 Edge selling for $15.62 per month for 24 months after a $15.63 service credit.
