Scarlet Nexus is finally live and available for the PC and consoles. This action RPG is the latest from Bandai Namco and has players take on the role of two recruits from the Other Suppression Force. The two have psychic abilities that can bring down any extraterrestrial threat.
The Story
So what’s the game about? It seems that in the distant future, a psionic hormone that’s in the human brain has resulted in some people getting extra-sensory powers. Obviously, this has changed the world. As mankind brings about a new age, deranged mutants called Others have appeared with a hunger for human brains. With the mutants being impervious against conventional weapons, only those with psychic abilities have the chance to fight them and try to save humanity. That group is known as the Other Suppression Force.
The game actually features a dual story with players given the choice to start their adventure with either Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall. Yuito comes from a well-known family while Kasane has that mysterious power and skill that has given notoriety within the organization. While there are indeed two stories, the different experiences are able to interweave with one another ending in a reveal of the full story.
In a post, Stephen Akana of Bandai Namco shared that the game has visuals that bring to mind classic manga and anime. Its combat system meanwhile is one that puts focus on strategic thinking along with the use of not only weapons but also abilities. Akana went on to say that players can expect an engaging story along with a wide range of characters.

Scarlet Nexus is available for the PC along with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. There’s also a version for next-gen consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition to the standard edition, there’s also the deluxe edition. It comes with the base game along with the Red Battle Attire Set and Digital Art Book. It also has different cosmetics offered, plug-ins, and soundtrack.
