The next 3D Sonic game, Sonic Frontiers, launches on all major platforms on November 8. PC players will be happy to know that the developer has revealed the official system requirements. The game doesn’t seem too heavy on the hardware. However, one thing did catch our eye.
As you would expect, Frontiers will require Windows 10 64-bit or above, and anything below just won’t do. The game will also need 30 GB of free storage space.
To run the title at 720p with low settings at 30 FPS, players will need 8 GB of RAM. This is kind of high in my opinion. The minimum requirements also suggest that players should have either an Intel Core i5-3470 or an AMD Ryzen 5 1400. It will need to be paired with either a GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870, with 2 GB of VRAM or more.
Recommended requirements are where things get interesting. To run the game at 1080p with high settings at 60 FPS, players should have 12 GB of RAM. The CPU requirement is increased to either an Intel Core i5-6600 or an AMD Ryzen 5 2600. For GPU, you should be good with either GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56; the 8 GB variant is advised.
