Launch information for Star Trek: Bridge Crew , the upcoming cooperative VR experience set in the rebooted Trek universe, has finally been released by Ubisoft. Unsurprisingly, Ubisoft’s first Star Trek virtual reality game will be available on all three major VR platforms this holiday season.
According to a press release, Star Trek: Bridge Crew will make its debut just after Thanksgiving, heading to the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR on Nov. 29. There’s currently no word on cross-platform support, so finding a full team might be rough on the Rift and Vive. But that probably won’t be as much of a problem on PlayStation VR . Thankfully, Bridge Crew also features a single-player mode. That way, the game isn’t just wasting space on your hard drive if/when you can’t find a group to play with.
The PlayStation VR version of Star Trek: Bridge Crew will also get a physical release; however, retail copies of the game won’t hit stores until the week after its digital debut. It’s not clear whether Ubisoft plans to offer any sort of bonus content, as is generally the case with the publisher’s new releases, for those who choose to pre-order Star Trek: Bridge Crew . But we wouldn’t be shocked to see some sort of special costume or alternate version of the Enterprise offered before launch.
