A Star Wars: Battlefront DLC update just dropped courtesy of a YouTube video leaked from EA Brazil. The video has since been removed , but the users at the Star Wars Battlefront subreddit managed to watch it and translate the important parts before it was taken down.
The new content coming in the next update includes a Tatooine map, new costumes for Luke and Leia, daily challenges, private matches, and special community events. The translation from the video comes courtesy of reddit user Exsound .
While we now know what to expect, it still leaves some questions. Will this Tatooine map be a large-scale map for modes like Walker Assault, or will it be a smaller map for modes like Blast? If it was a smaller map, smart money would be on it revolving around Mos Eisley Cantina or Jabba’s palace. All that is speculation, though, so wait on EA for any confirmations.
Because this content seems to be relatively small, you can probably expect this to be a free update, like December’s Battle of Jakku DLC. That means there is still no word on what paid DLC is coming to Star Wars Battlefront .
Star Wars Battlefront is now available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. A Season Pass is also available for the game, which includes the following:
4 epic expansion packs featuring brand new content set across the Star Wars galaxy including:
Over 20 new pieces of galactic tech including weapons, vehicles, and Star Cards for both Rebels and Imperials
4 more heroes and villains for you to fight as or against
16 additional multiplayer maps featuring new locations
4 exciting new game modes
Two-week early access to each expansion pack
Exclusive “Shoot First” emote
