There is one game that many RPG and Bethesda fans have been waiting for, and that's Starfield. Announced back in 2018, the space-focused role-playing title was revealed in great detail yesterday during Starfield Direct, but that's not all.
The Steam page of Starfield was also updated yesterday revealing exciting pieces of information, including the official system requirements. The game is still a few months away, so the specs mentioned below could change; for now, these are the official requirements. The developer also didn't reveal the target resolution, frame rate, or graphics setting, which is always a worrying decision.
Like most games nowadays, the game requires Windows 10 or 11, with the former should be version 22H2 or above. Starfield is a big game and we don't mean that just in scope as it will need 125 GB of free storage space on SSD, not HDD.
The minimum specs are a bit more demanding than most would like. For CPU, players should be good with either an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i7-6800K. They will need to pair it with either a Radeon RX 5700 or GeForce 1070 Ti and a 16 GB of system RAM.
