It has just been announced be the WWE that wrestling legend Sting will be joining the ranks of Andre the Giant, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and Hulk Hogan in the WWE Hall of Fame. Sting will be inducted along with others at the induction ceremony prior to WrestleMania 32 in April.

“We are truly honored to have Sting take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame,” said Paul Levesque. Levesque, better known by his in-ring name of Triple H, is WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative. “His contributions to our industry are unprecedented, and we look forward to celebrating his incredible career with fans all over the world.”

The induction ceremony will take place on April 2, the night before WrestleMania 32. Tickets for the induction ceremony, which will take place in the American Airlines Center in Dallas, will go on sale this Friday, Jan. 15. No other names have been confirmed for the rest of the members of 2016's induction class.

Starting in the Universal Wrestling Federation, Sting would work his way up to becoming one of the biggest names in the WCW. Having held the WCW World Championship belt a total of six times, Sting would serve an instrumental role during the New World Order years. Sting also served as one of the combatants in the final match of WCW, fighting off Ric Flair.

Sting would stay out of the spotlight for years, until he made a huge return at Survivor Series 2014. It was here that he joined forces with Dolph Ziggler to fight off The Authority. This brought about Sting's first WrestleMania appearance at WrestleMania 31, where he faced off against Triple H.

Injuries have kept Sting out of the ring as of late, but don't count out The Franchise just yet. He very well may surprise all of us with one last return to the squared circle.
