It’s almost time! Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda confirmed last week that more information for Pokémon Sun and Moon will be revealed on May 10. As we approach the fated day for when fans can learn about Gen 7, Masuda has thankfully begun to reveal how the information will be distributed.

UPDATE: Starters, release date and box Legendary Pokemon revealed!

According to Masuda’s personal blog , fans looking for the new Pokémon Sun and Moon info need to subscribe to and stalk the official Pokémon Company YouTube accounts. The Japanese Pokémon Company account was shown on Masuda’s blog, though it’s certainly likely the other Pokémon accounts from different languages will show the same information.

Even so, here’s the link to the Japanese Pokemon Company YT account.

Here’s the English-language account .

For those on the East Coast, you can expect the news to drop at around 8 a.m. EDT (if you’re not in the U.S., Masuda posted the times for when you can expect the information on his blog).

So what can we expect from the May 10 announcement? Masuda didn’t promise any gameplay footage, though specifically said “ information ” about Sun and Moon will be revealed, so we should be getting the deets on the region.

It is possible Masuda will reveal what the region is based on and how it does or does not connect to Kalos. Hopefully, he’ll say how many new Pokémon are in the new region and whether we’ll be getting more Mega Evolutions.

The way that Masuda apologized to the fans for the lack of information on Sun and Moon gives some credence to the idea that the info drop on May 10 may be substantial, but temper your expectations. With the Sun and Moon release date some time during the holiday season, there is a lot of time before we find out everything there is to know and this is likely just the first of many information drops to come.

So what information do you think we’ll get on May 10? Let us know your theories in the comments section below.
