Yesterday, Valve released a small patch for their 13-year-old hero shooter Team Fortress 2. The patch is small in size and is mostly focused on bug fixing and adding new features. It also addresses a big problem in the game, Spambots. From now on, some new accounts will not be allowed to use the chat system in official matchmaking modes.
Valve is currently looking for ways to counter new accounts that are only made for abusive purposes. The update also added “Enable text chat” and “Enable voice chat” options in the Advanced Options settings. You can use these settings to turn off in-game text and voice chat.
Reporting players is now more detailed, and you will have more information about the person you reported. The Telefragger Toque is updated to fix the swapped materials bug. TF2VRG Headset now has on/off styles and some tournament medals are added and updated.
