AAA blockbuster games might be the bread and butter of the video game industry, but some real gems are present away from the limelight. There are tons of indie titles like Hades and Celeste, which have garnered massive amounts of success both critically and financially. However, some titles aren’t so lucky. Here are three amazing indie titles that you haven’t played, but absolutely should.

Prodeus

Prodeus is a must-have game for DOOM fans, and no we are not talking about the reboot; instead, we are referring to the classic DOOM games that boosted the entire FPS genre. The game features a full-fledged single-player campaign and multiplayer mode. Its soundtrack is composed by Andrew Hulshult.

Prodeus was released a few years ago in an early access state. However, the title received a full release on September 23, 2022. The game is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Thanks to Steam Winter Sale, you can grab the title for only $19.99.

West of Loathing

The video game industry doesn’t have a lot of Western or comedy games. If you like either, then this title should be an easy buy for you.

Developed and published by Asymmetric Publications, West of Loathing is a turn-based RPG that takes place in the Wild West and focuses heavily on comedy. The game’s art is made entirely of stick figure drawings, so don’t go expecting RDR2-type of graphics.

You can grab West of Loathing on sale from Steam for only $6.59. If you like the base game, feel free to purchase the Reckonin' at Gun Manor expansion as well.

Have a Nice Death

Hollow Knight fans have been desperately waiting for Silksong, so this next title should make their long wait a little easier.

Have a Nice Death is a 2D roguelike platformer developed by Magic Design Studios. The game currently is in an early access state, so don’t expect it to be perfect. You can purchase it for only $14.99.

What do you think? Are you interested in any of these games? Which indie game do you think deserves more recognition? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
