Dark Horse has recognized the awesomeness of Guillermo del Toro’s Netflix original series, Trollhunters. The Secret History of Trollkind arrives Feb. 14 and Comic Book Resources has the first look.
The book starts in Trollmarket, with Jim continuing his training to fight Gunmar. Tobias, Blinky, Fred and Claire are present. CBR’s preview ends with Jim and the squad learning about Kanjigar the Courageous, who also suffered many crises of self-confidence. Read the description below.

Written by Marc Guggenheim (Trollhunters) and Richard A. Hamilton (How to Train Your Dragon), the graphic novel is a companion to the Emmy-winning series, continuing Jim’s journey as the first human Trollhunter. However, it’s far from the most exciting part of the expanding Trollhunters franchise. In addition to the graphic novel, del Toro announced last month this world will be expanded to a trilogy known as The Tales of Arcadia.
Trollhunters Part 3 (set to release in 2018) will be followed by 3 Below, where two royal teenage aliens and their bodyguard flee a surprise takeover of their home planet by an evil dictator and crash land in Arcadia. On the run, they struggle to assimilate into Arcadian high school while they work to fix their ship. Wizards will be the trilogy’s final installment, set to arrive in 2019. It will bring together the world of trolls, aliens and wizards all living in Arcadia. Check out an excerpt from the trilogy announcement below.
