The Walking Dead showrunner Scott Gimple boasts the shows seventh season finale will be the most intense yet, but they always say this, so we’re a bit skeptical.
Yes, the All Out War storyline from the comic books will probably kick off in the last episode. We’ve seen it coming for a while and the show has continued to tease a big fight is coming. Gimple recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about just how big The Walking Dea d Season 7 finale will be.
“We step on the gas and we do not let our foot off the gas until the end of episode 16,” Gimple said. “Although because I’m working on Season 8 now, the foot is on the gas again! I mean, the next three episodes we’re going to shoot you through a lot of big events and things become quantum intense.”
Those are big promises, Gimple. Last year the show left fans with a weak cliffhanger, making them wait until the fall to find out who Negan killed. Right off the bat -- pun intended -- we know this year’s finale will be better, since they’ve set the bar pretty low. However, we’re not so confident it’ll be a good finale.

If we were to predict what happens in The Walking Dead Season 7 finale, here’s how things would go. First, Sasha and Rosita successfully infiltrate the Saviors’ compound during the day, so they can see Negan’s whereabouts. Sasha and Rosita both set up to take their shots. Before either of them can pull the trigger, Sasha gets caught. Somehow Rosita is made aware and she tries to escape. Sasha is killed and returned to Alexandria as a walker. Or worse.
When Negan does show up at Rick’s door, he’ll have his army ready. Rick is enraged and starts shooting at Negan’s army. Negan will think he has the numbers, some of Rick’s people will die, but then the Hilltop and Kingdom communities show up to save the day. Negan’s army will be forced to retreat. Morale will increase for Alexandria, the Hilltop and the Kingdom, but someone will ruin the victory with a reminder that there’s more to come.
