The tactical role-playing title War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius has just released a five minute game overview trailer, courtesy of publisher Square Enix.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is set on the continent of Adler in the world of Lapis. The story depicts a war between five rival nations that occurred in the distant past. It is in this world where legends of crystals have been passed down since ancient times and the story of a “War of the Visions” revolving around supremacy will begin.
Made as a tactical RPG, War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius utilizes a 3D field with varying levels of elevation for its battles. An “Auto Mode” and a “High Speed Mode” is featured in the game, which allows even newbies to quickly pick up the game’s core mechanics.
In addition, each character in your party has unique “Limit Bursts” and “Abilities”, as well as “Summons” that activate a flashy 3D animation. Also, in the spirit of keeping up with the Final Fantasy franchise, the familiar “Job System” also plays a role in the War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius gameplay. Finally, multiple quests such as Story Quests, World Quests, and Event Quests will be incorporated.
While the trailer is mostly narrated in Japanese, we can still glean quite a bit from it, as the game is also planned for release in the West. The turn-based combat looks to be complemented by a tile system, which plays a lot into positioning and how your various characters will benefit from it.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was originally announced in Japan on December 2 of last year, with a following announcement on June 10 that it will now include a worldwide release. The above trailer introduced the audience to how War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius' strategy RPG battle system works, job systems, abilities, and Limit Bursts. The trailer was narrated by the same voice actor who also brought life to the heroine Macherie.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius will release for iOS and Android devices worldwide as a free-to-play game with optional in-app purchases. No release date has been announced yet.
