Watch Dogs: Legion is all set to be released towards the end of the month. As if that wasn’t enough, Ubisoft is giving us a preview of what’s to come after the game has officially launched. That’s not all, as a story trailer has been released which looks into DedSec and the fight against Zero-Day with the fate of London hanging in the balance.
You can watch the story trailer here:
With that out of the way, what’s going to happen once the game is released? Well, for starters the Online Mode is going to be released on December 3 as part of a free update. Here are additional details of this new mode:
- Online Mode is going to be a free-roam open-world co-op where players can form a team of four and explore London while also taking part in side activities.
- There’s going to be new co-op missions for two to four players.
- These missions are going to make use of new co-op gameplay mechanics and let players be able to recruit the perfect team.
- Four-player co-op Tactical Ops missions are going to be available which need both efficiency and teamwork.
- The Spiderbot Arena is going to be introduced, the game’s first PvP mode.
- In this mode four to eight players control armed spider bots and fight in a free-for-all deathmatch.
The roadmap also offers new free content arriving sometime in 2021 and includes:
- New characters with new abilities.
- New mission content.
- New Game Plus mode.
Watch Dogs: Legion is also going to offer a Season Pass and players who buy the pass get access to the new storyline dubbed as Bloodline. This new storyline gives players the chance to take control of Aiden Pearce from the original Watch Dogs, and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2, in a single-player campaign. Bloodline is also going to add two new characters, which are:
- Darcy
- A member of the Assassin Order.
- Made possible thanks to a cross-over with Assassin’s Creed.
- Mina
- A subject of transhuman experiments.
- She has the ability to mind control individuals.
In addition to the Bloodline story, the Season Pass is also going to offer additional DedSec missions along with 2014's Watch Dogs Complete Edition. The Season Pass is available in Gold, Ultimate, and Collector editions.
Watch Dogs: Legion is scheduled to be released on October 29 for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The game is also releasing on Xbox Series X/S on November 10 and PlayStation 5 on November 12.
