Watch Dogs: Legion revealed during today's Ubisoft Forward event that it’s adding a new member to the resistance and it’s none other than Stormzy. If you don’t who that is, Stormzy is an award-winning British musician who started in the London underground music scene and worked his way to the top of the charts and critical success.
In choosing Stormzy, Watch Dogs: Legion Creative Director Clint Hocking said in the video reveal that the artist’s name always came up when they asked “Londoners who was an artist who would really reflect and underscore the themes” of the game. In addition to being part of the game, Stormzy also debuted the video for “Rainfall.”
Stormzy is set to appear in the mission “Fall on My Enemies.” For this mission, players need to help the rapper secure a broadcast for his latest track in Central London.
There’s no question that Stormzy’s addition to the game is indeed exciting. However, Watch Dogs: Legion appeares to have doubled down as game live producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan made an announcement that’s sure to excite the hardcore Watch Dogs fans. It looks like an old friend is making an appearance to the game as Aiden Pearce returns not only as a fully playable character, but also brings his own dedicated story arc.
Who is Aiden Pearce, you ask? He was the protagonist of the first Watch Dogs game. Like we said, this is good news for hardcore fans of the game. Players can get their hands on Pearce by buying the Watch Dogs: Legion Season Pass. The Season Pass is available as a standalone addition or part of the Gold, Ultimate, and Collector editions. The Season Pass comes with a new story expansion that’s delivered in two narrative arcs. It also offers, among others, extra DedSec missions and four unique agents, which include Pearce.
Watch Dogs: Legion is the third game in the Watch Dogs franchise. Legion offers an open world set in a fictional version of London. The game allows players to control different characters in order to complete missions.
Watch Dogs: Legion is set to be released for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia on October 29. A version for the Xbox Series X/S is set to be launched on November 10. The release date for the PlayStation 5 version, meanwhile, has yet to announced.
