The 2016 MTV Movie Awards have arrived. Sharply contrasting in tone to last month’s Academy Awards, the MTV Movie Awards honors the best in cinema from the mainstream audience perspective. That means the ceremony will highlight films most of us have actually seen, and MTV has recruited a superstar cast of hosts and presenters to commemorate the occasion. For one, it’s co-hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, which, when visually considered, is already hilarious in itself.
