It’s Xur day, Destiny fans!
This week, Xur can be found in Tower North, across from the Speaker's Observatory
An amazing 2016 continues this week, bolstered by the debut of No Man’s Sky. Millions of gamers might still be content to explore the cosmos, scanning whatever new plants and animals they find out there in the expanses of space. But few things will ever be more important to the Destiny community than Xur’s latest trip to the Tower, particularly as we continue counting down the weeks until Destiny: Rise Of Iron debuts next month.
As most Destiny players know by now, those still playing Bungie’s shared-world shooter on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 will lose access to most of Xur’s inventory after the game’s next expansion debuts in September. Which is particularly unfortunate because the impending change apparently hasn’t convinced the Agent of the Nine to step up his exotic item selection. Last week, Xur returned with No Backup Plans, Graviton Forfeit and Apotheosis Veil; three items we’ve seen countless times over the last two years. Even the Zhalo Supercell is beginning to feel like old news at this point. But maybe this will be the weekend he starts to turn things around.
Here’s everything Xur is selling the Destiny community August 12 - 14:
The Taikonaut
- Defense: 280
- Discipline: 32
- Strength: 32
Young Ahamkara's Spine
- Defense: 280
- Discipline: 59
Starfire Protocol
- Defense: 280
- Discipline: 45
- Strength: 44
Super Good Advice
- Attack: 280
- Magazine: 35
Legacy Engram - Special Weapon
As always, Xur has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine is also selling a handful of other curios, including Three of Coins stacks. And Destiny players will also find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades, with purple and green contrails available this week, along with the usual Motes of Light and Heavy Ammo Synthesis. Glass Needles can also be purchased from Xur this weekend.
