As Gamescom 2019 draws closer, now with less than a month to go, more developers and publishers are starting to announce their playable titles for one of the biggest gaming events of the year.
Just last week, Microsoft and Xbox announce their plans and lineup for the event, which is chock full of upcoming games across the Xbox and PC platform under the Xbox Game Studios label. On Wednesday, French publisher and developer Microids also announced their slate of titles, all comprised of video game adaptations of popular comic books and graphic novels. THQ Nordic followed yesterday, packing the heat with six playable titles for the event, including one that will be announced during the Gamescom 2019 Opening Night live stream.
This time, Wired Productions also announced their slate of games. The publisher announced that they will have two playable titles for Gamescom this year, which are as follows.
- Close to the Sun – set for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch later this year, this title initially launched as an Epic Games Store exclusive title for the PC that drew some very positive reception thanks to its amazing atmosphere and intriguing story. The story centers on a journalist named Rose Archer as she boards a research vessel called the Helios, which is steeped in both horror and mystery. We can expect the game to be fully playable now for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and possibly even for the Switch version which was just announced last month.
- Deliver Us To The Moon – set for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year, Deliver Us To The Moon initially launched for PC via Steam’s Early Access on September of last year. Wired only entered a publishing deal with developer KeokeN Interactive earlier this year, which will rerelease the game in a complete state across all platforms. The game is set in a near future where you play as the Earth’s last astronaut as you embark on a mission to look into a colony on the moon.
In addition to these titles, Wired Productions also announced that they will showcase three more unannounced games from renowned developers, so be sure to stick around with us for coverage of these reveals and more for Gamescom 2019.
