Acquire’s Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is returning with a PC version on May 30.
Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls was first seen in the west on June 2011, available in PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and iOS. Now, Acquire and Xseed are trying their hands on a PC port.
If you don’t know a lot about the game, it is an old-school dungeon crawler. However, the developers are proud to say that the visuals and sounds are now modernized. You will be able to choose six team members and select their class, race, gender, and moral alignment. You will then explore one of the dungeons close to the central town hub. Stay alert at all times, because the monsters are dangerous and move in packs. Make sure that you plan your journey taking every detail into consideration. You need to stay focused on your goal and know when to retreat. Every journey will be meaningful. You will be able to talk to the locals and finish new quests. You can go to the temple to ask for guidance. You can also bargain-hunt to gain rare equipment. If you do this right, you can go from being a zero to hero in no time.
There are some awesome key features to look forward to. You will be able to customize your own party to your own liking. You can choose from eight classes that you can level up or change along the way as much as you need to. There are five races to create your own 6-man-team, with different but complimenting sets of skills.
Through your journey, you will face sets of different monsters with more than 100 species in total. All designs are thanks to the famous series illustrator, Jun Suemi. Some character illustrations that are featured in the game were made by the famed commercial artist, Yuki Hayabusa.
The dungeons are filled with all kinds of danger. Your journey can end when you fail to make the right choices. However, if you are able to take on whatever obstacle comes your way, your party will thrive and conquer each dungeon.
The Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls remastered PC version features English and Japanese subtitles, along with the original Japanese voiceovers. The graphics will be in high-resolution and there is also a brand-new Turbo Mode that will make exploring the dungeons in the game easier. All of the story’s DLC will be included, and the players will be able to download the Growth Fruit DLC completely free of charge.
Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is set for a PC release on Steam on May 30 for $14.99. Buyers during the launch week will get a 10% discount.
